About Us

Fasteson Machine was founded in 2007 by Ted Fasteson. The company began in a garage and quickly expanded to its current location in Seekonk, Massachusetts.

Ted has built upon four generations in this field. His great-grandfather worked in the manufacture of precision machine tools at Brown & Sharpe in Providence, R.I. and his grandfather and uncle owned an industrial supply business.

Ted worked at Piatek Machine while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts at Rhode Island College. There he honed his skills in traditional manufacturing methods and procedures and, at a time when many older machine shops were shutting their doors, implemented his expertise in the value of investment in state-of-the-art technologies. He quickly rose to the position of foreman.

Several years later he explored another facet of the industry through an industrial sales position at Seacoast Supply. He observed a need for a machine shop that could produce high-quality parts with quick turnaround. He decided to found a company of his own to fill that need.
